Little Update

Thank you all for your comments on my last post, Love you all!! I've decided it's ran it's course and doesn't need to be permanent.

Little update on our crazy 2009 summer...

Ryan and I took a trip to Maui in April. (no kids:) Ryan's parents and two of his
aunt's went. Every minute was bliss!!! I so love his parents and adore is Aunts. It was an absolute wonderful trip. Ryan and I swam with sea turtles and watched a mother humpback whale play with her baby, ate wonderful sushi, read 2 1/2 of the Twilight books and rented a scooter, (by myself) and drove up the west coast of Maui. The perfect vacation.

June....We celebrated Megan's B-day and went to Lake Powell!! Love that Lake!

July....Celebrate the 4th-my favorite holiday. We also had 2 of my brother's boys come to stay with us for ten days, celebrated Brady and Maycee's B-day, my brother came home from his mission, enjoyed a family reunion, camping above Eden, swam a couple times at my Aunts pool, worked in our yard (dirt) and Brady was Baptized last Saturday. Saturday was also Ryan's 35th B-day.

Our summer has been busy, but fun. August has come too fast. My brother is getting married in 3 weeks and I'm doing all the photography for it. Excited and nervous.
Brady started football and Megan is loving her art class. The summer has flown by, but we have lots of good memories. We finally got grass yesterday, YAH!!! And before we know it, school will be starting. Hope you all have had a wonderful summer.

Girls weekend in Vegas!!

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas! (except STD's) LOL Sorry, I had to put that. The trip was so fun. As you can guess, I'm always behind the camera, so there are no pictures of me. That's fine with me. But, I promise I was there. LOL

Every story should end with....and then the cops came!!

So living in our new neighborhood, and with a lot of empty houses (ghost town like), the roads were not plowed quickly. No problem, good news for Ryan, he got the 4-wheelers out and our neighbors and really good friends got their sleds out. We added a few skiing ropes to the mix and we had a party. IT WAS AN ABSOLUTE BLAST! We were going through the neighborhood at what were probably dangerous speeds on a sled and doing a lot of screaming. I had forgotten that I was a mother of 3 and over 30. Well, we lost track of time. After a lot of laughing and a few wipe-outs, a police car drove up with it's lights flashing. Oooppps....it was after 11:00 at night. He was pretty nice and I think he was surprised at our age. These 4 adults being noisy out on the streets at 11:00. We had a hard time not to giggle, but when he left, (giving us just a warning), the giggles came out. We couldn't believe what had happened. Could we really have gotten the cops called on us? HA! Well, we had an absolute blast and have a great story that ends with..."and then the cops came".

Be Prepared....this doesn't happen very often.

For Halloween, I convinced Ryan to be in a Hospital gown with a big belly. You might think he is a pregnant woman, but nope. That is when the baby comes out from the gown and so for Halloween, he was a "New Mom". I hope you get as big of a laugh as his co-workers did as he gave birth on the conference table during a meeting. LOVE IT! That's my hubby!!!!!!

Here is Indian Jones, Nancy Drew, "Super Dog", and the cutest little lion I've ever seen.

My Pumpkins Carving Pumpkins...

Check out them pumpkins...Maycee is very attached to her punkin. But let's be serious, the adults have to do most of the work. A broken knife and sore scratched-up hands later and you have happy kids. (it was my favorite knife too.) It's worth it!! Any good recipes for pumpkin seeds?

Enjoying the dirt....while it lasts

Brady has planned a pond in the back yard and decided to start digging and getting it filled. Of course Maycee follows him around, even wearing his shoes. She still asks, about every other day, to go home. Oh, that pulls on my heart strings. Her and Megan are doing great sharing a room...so much better than I though it would be. Another thing that won't last too much longer is the trampoline by the deck. Brady, AKA "Dare Devil", jumps off and lands on his stomach. I lose my breathe every time. What's funny is I remember doing that as a kid off the roof of my house:)

2 days to go......

Two days to go, and I'm starting to loose sleep.
But I'll cherish the friends, I'll forever keep.
I love you all and you know who you are.
The bright side of this, were not going far.
I'll always be grateful for this home HE gave to us.
And we'll move on with faith and all of our trust.
After all a house is not just a house, it's a HOME.
Filled with the Spirit and safety from the storm.
Laugh you might, but I'm so grateful for blogging,
So if you'll excuse me now, while I start sobbing.

In the midst of all the packing...

I have to show of this creation my sister-in-law and I did. I'm printing it as a 16x20 poster and mounting it on board for her. I can't wait for the final product.

The packing is pretty overwhelming... I feel like I have to get everything organized and then pack, but I'm slowly realizing that time isn't on my side, but when we move in I can organize and get rid of things then. Any words of wisdom when it comes to packing up your life for a move?
